Jake Shandling strives to tell truths reflecting the people, places, and ideas which have formed his experience, often through music and the drums.

In addition to leading his own projects, Jake has worked with artists including Dayna Stephens, Slavic Soul Party!, Peter Stan, Sonny Climes, Zach Moses, Joe Warner, James Robinson, Ben Goldberg, Noel Jewkes, and Groundation, among many others. He has performed throughout the USA and Europe at venues including the Jazz Gallery, Jazz At Lincoln Center, NYC Winter JazzFest, the Brooklyn Museum, Dartmouth College, Stanford University, Bar Next Door, Barbés Brooklyn and National Sawdust, as well as on the musical scores of films including Off In The Far Away Somewhere: Georgia O'Keeffe's Hawaii (2018) and Musicians & Magicians (2018).
